NEXCOPE PVT LTD is a Start-up Incubated in 2025 as one of the outcomes of a maiden Student Satellite Project (SS AMU SAT) being developed at Aligarh Muslim University, India. The company focuses on developing state of the art on-board Ultra Image Compression Technology. The tech qualifies to TRL-5.
The Company offers products and licensable compression software.
Ultra Image Compression
NEXCOPE PVT LTD has invested resources in developing a novel image compression technology that offers compression up to 80 times (or 98.75%). Not only the in-house developed algorithm allows ultra compression, but it also consumes low memory. The engineers have tried to minimize the footprint to 0.5U of a standard CubeSat dimension. With low power requirement and customizable on-board storage, the innovation of NEXCOPE is a game changer technology in the field of Imaging.
The application includes but is not limited to Satellite Imaging, Drone Imaging, IOT, Meteorology, agriculture, etc.
The company is also developing a Satellite Diagnostic System that offers several communication interfaces running on industrial protocols.
Way forward, NEXCOPE Pvt. Ltd. is determined to develop a System on Chip (SoC) to further reduce power, weight and improve performance.
